To Imagine Everything And A Doll

Wendy Tsao bringing to life Rowan’s (age 10) art.

This is something of a follow-up to yesterday’s post, in which I mentioned another artistic parent collaborating with their kid(s). I want to be a parent like that, so I guess I should really start working on my drawing skills.

Anyway, this is possibly even cooler: Turning kids’ drawings into real, living, breathing, dolls. Okay, maybe they’re only living and breathing in the sense that Hobbes (of Calin fame) does, but whatevs. These are amazing. Imagine having this beautiful testament to your former self when you grow up? Pretty fantastic. Depending on your drawing skills as a four-year-old, of course.

Children rock, and I’m very much in favour of us all keeping that rock when we grow up and grow old and have more access to all kinds of means to the rockiest ends ever.

Don’t lose your rock, guys.

Mu-Long And Mustacherella Going To A Concert

First of all, I wish the Bastille concert I’m going to in March would be this small, intimate, and relaxed. Alas. I still beat myself up for missing their (very small) concert last year… November or sth. Tears.
Anyway. May these beards (and the names) cheer you up today.

The Music In Your Ears Will Bring You Closer To God

So… I may have been listening to this song a LOT this weekend. It’s super catchy, no? Apparently, they’re already something of a big deal, doing really well at Lowlands over here, and now with this song used for Assassin’s Creed. Oh well, better to catch up late than never!

Also, YouTube suggests I listen to Story of my life by OD when I check out this one, and I have to say, I thought it when I first heard it and I still do: It is a pretty decent song. I mean, not the lyrics, obviously, but just the song as a whole. I kind of enjoy hearing it. Maybe I’m just… un-aging? I’m finally living my tween music-phase?

Banana Butt Puppy

It is no secret that I love the Minions, Despicable Me, and dogs. This is basically the best mini movie ever. I wish somehow I could be this.

Psych 101 With The Original CM

Isn’t this title just the greatest? CM, MC, I am a word master.

Anyhoodle. Cookiemonster and Tom Hiddleston teaching children about the importance and (possible, but not guaranteed so cue disappointed children everywhere) benefits of delayed gra-ti-fi-ca-tion. I love it. Dutch koekiemonster is cooler than American cookiemonster, by the way.

Also, animals on trampolines. If I were an animal, I would be a dog, and I would be the kind of dog that is on a trampoline and makes the world right.

Finally, this monkey.

EDIT: Here’s the original monkey video, it’s pretty great, even if the gif kind of already sums it up.
